“Best dental office I have ever visited! I have been going to this office for a long time and have been treated by a few different dentists in this office over the years. The staff is super friendly, reassuring and empathetic to my needs. I am super nervous at the dentist and they make sure I am completely at ease and communicate with everything that I they are doing and why they are doing it. They continually ask throughout the visit if I am doing ok and they do everything necessary to make sure there is no pain. They treat my needs as if I am one of the family.”

- William Haines

“I love coming to this dental office! Everyone is always super friendly and they always answer my questions that I have. They set me up for success with my home care, explaining everything in full detail and I leave with my teeth feeling their best. Thank you for always taking care of me every time I visit!”

-Marysa Rodriguez

“I don’t mind going to the dentist anymore since I go to Holladay Hills. They have gentle, knowledgeable dentists and assistants. I couldn’t have had better care. They took good care of me and was done very quickly. Thank you!

-Beth Wickham

“I absolutely love this office. They’re always so kind and helpful. I was highly impressed with how well they did with my daughter as well.”

-Sara Brushnell

“This was the best Dental experience ever! Lauren (the new hygienist) was incredible! She did a full intake interview about my case. She is so compassionate and even cleaned my teeth with a broken finger! I felt bad because they spent so much time with me. Dr Skinner is so patient and knowledgeable! He gave me a plan with three options and referred me to the best periodontist in the State for a consultation. I now feel better and finally have a plan, other than let my implant fall out naturally. If you’ve had a bad experiences in the past, I’d give Holiday Hills another chance.”

-Blake Stewart

“Super friendly staff, very informative of what I could do to improve my dental hygiene. Staff was also very helpful giving recommendations on different services that they dont provide. Not to mention they were also very welcoming to my 3 year old who was getting impatient while waiting for my cleaning to be done. Great staff and my teeth feel great!”

-Saba Saleem

“I’ve had terrible luck finding a good dentist in SLC. Since moving here in 2009, this is the first office I’ve gone to for more than 2 visits. Dr Nguyen and her entire staff are amazing. My family and I have been going to this office for years now and will continue as patients for many years to come. 10/10 Recommend”

-Haley Dahle

“First time there was yesterday. Very impressed with the outfit overall. Staff was very professional and welcoming. Office was nice and inviting. They took care of my issue quickly and efficiently. I found a new dentist that I trust and look forward to working with.”

FAQ’S

If you have questions and can’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to answer any questions you have and assist you with all of your dental needs!

What's the best way to whiten my teeth?

While there are many whitening treatments available to choose from, not all of them are created equal. Using an over-the counter whitening kit can cause tooth sensitivity and can also damage the roots of your teeth. It is best to bring it up with your dentist to find out what the safest options are. So whether you decide on a take home whitening kit or in-office whitening, both options are non-invasive and will help you get the whiter smile you’re looking for.

What does it mean if my teeth are sensitive to hot or cold?

Sensitive teeth are typically the result of worn tooth enamel or exposed tooth roots. Sometimes, however, tooth discomfort is caused by other factors, such as a cavity, a cracked or chipped tooth, a worn filling, or gum disease.

If you’re bothered by sensitive teeth, visit your dentist. He or she can identify or rule out any underlying causes of your tooth sensitivity.

What Type of toothbrush and toothpaste should I use?

You’ll want to buy a toothbrush with soft bristles, since medium and firm toothbrushes can damage teeth and gums. Either powered or manual toothbrushes clean teeth well. As far as toothpaste goes, toothpastes with American Dental Association Seal of Acceptance always have fluoride, which strengthens and protects teeth. If you have tooth sensitivity to cold or hot drinks, let you dentist know and choose a tooth paste for sensitive teeth.

Do I need to floss?

There’s no getting around the need to get around your teeth daily with dental floss. It clears food and plaque from between teeth and under the gumline. If you don’t, plaque hardens into tartar, which forms wedges and widens the space between teeth and gums, causing pockets. Over time, gums pull away and teeth loosen.

Either waxed or unwaxed floss will do the job. Using floss picks or interdental brushes is another easy option.
